HESS CYCLING TEAM: WOMEN‘S CYCLING ON THE RISE

The women of the Hess Cycling Team have been proudly sporting their new CUORE jerseys for a few weeks now. Clad in the vibrant green hue of their „armor,“ as they fondly refer to their kit, they not only feel secure and visible on the road but are also poised to compete in this year‘s races with courage and fearlessness.

The new jersey design not only accentuates the individuality of each rider but also fosters a sense of unity among the team. Comprising 14 athletes from twelve different nations, the team‘s diverse blend of seasoned veterans and young talents makes them truly compelling. Riders such as Marjolein van t‘Geloof and Rotem Gafinovitz, hailing from WorldTour structures, stand alongside Imogen Cotter, who has bravely returned after her serious accident in 2022, and Sara Casasola, who has enjoyed significant success in disciplines like cyclocross.

While the Hess Cycling Team originates from England, it operates from Belgium - the epicenter of cycling. Owner Rolf Hess traces his roots back to the Swiss region of Märwil, coincidentally the same region where CUORE has its origins.

As an entrepreneur with ventures in clothing, skincare, watches, and jewellery, what draws Hess to cycling? For him, “it‘s the thrill of a sport that unfolds in different locales and terrains each time. Cycling embodies vitality and dynamism. Moreover, as a recreational pursuit, cycling fosters fitness and exploration. Where else can one experience such exhilaration?”

Hess is eager to share his passion for cycling, particularly in giving women‘s sports the visibility they deserve and inspiring young female athletes about their potential. Beyond cycling, Hess and Team Manager Pirmin Lang view the sport not merely as an advertising platform but as an ecosystem. The team‘s vision extends beyond mere success; it aims to empower female athletes in sports, education, and marketing, offering avenues beyond their athletic careers.

In their new CUORE kits, the team aims to shine in prestigious classics like Fleche Brabanconne, Ronde van Drenthe, and the Amstel Gold Race this spring, endeavouring to rival the best Continental- status teams this year. Their ultimate aspiration? To ascend to the newly established ProContinental Women level in 2025. As sponsors, we at CUORE are thrilled to accompany the team on this remarkable journey!
