Stronger Together: CUORE Supports the GBI Ladies Transalp 2025 powered by LIV

From Friedrichshafen to Lake Como – on two wheels, just women, and with a powerful mission: The GBI Ladies Transalp powered by LIV is entering its third edition in 2025 – and CUORE is proud to be on board as an official partner.

This very special charity event brings passionate women cyclists across the Alps while raising donations for a cause that urgently deserves more attention. This year’s fundraising campaign supports a scientific study exploring how physical activity impacts endometriosis – a condition that affects millions of women but is still far too little understood.

The idea for the Ladies Transalp dates back to 2021. At the time, Judith Schäfer, Liv Project Manager at Giant Germany, and RTL presenter Jana Azizi crossed the Alps together with a small group of women for the first time – raising funds for Kindernothilfe. The ride was not only physically demanding but, above all, an inspiring community experience – in a cycling environment still largely dominated by men. The vision quickly became clear: a tour exclusively for women, with true team spirit and a social purpose.

After some planning, the foundation was laid in 2023: the very first Ladies Transalp – exclusively for women – from Garmisch to Lake Garda. Driven by the vision of the Global Biking Initiative (GBI), which has always combined cycling with social commitment, the tour was from the beginning more than just a sporting adventure.

In 2025, the charity spirit remains at the heart of the tour. CUORE supports the project by providing high-quality, custom-made cycling jerseys for all participants – because we believe cycling apparel can be more than just functional. It is a statement, an attitude, and an identity. And that’s exactly what the GBI Ladies Transalp embodies: a strong community coming together for something bigger.

The focus of this year’s fundraising campaign is endometriosis – one of the most common yet least understood gynecological conditions. It is estimated that between eight and fifteen percent of all women are affected – around two million in Germany alone. Still, it often takes many years to receive a correct diagnosis, as symptoms like chronic abdominal pain, severe menstrual cramps, or infertility are far too often downplayed or misinterpreted.

With financial support for a new study at the Johanna Etienne Hospital in Neuss, the organizers want to find out how physical activity can positively impact life with endometriosis. Many experiences already show that gentle sports such as cycling, yoga, or walking can help relieve pain, ease tension, and strengthen emotional balance. But what has so far only been observed anecdotally should now be scientifically validated – so that affected women can receive better support and new perspectives.

With every stage completed and every donation made, this project continues to grow – participants have already raised more than €5,000. Want to support this project too? Here are the details:
